MEXICO – Pemex reports minor fire at Dos Bocas refinery, operations continue normally
Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) reported on Friday that a small fire at the Olmeca refinery, also known as Dos Bocas, in Paraíso, Tabasco, was quickly brought under control and did not disrupt operations.
The company confirmed that the facility is functioning normally and safely, and that the incident caused no injuries, environmental damage, or impact on nearby communities.
Pemex said its Emergency Response Plan was activated immediately, allowing the plant to be placed in a safe condition and eliminating any potential risks in the surrounding area. Specialized firefighting teams responded promptly to the scene.
According to the company, the fire was caused by a loss of containment in a discharge line.
Pemex reiterated its commitment to rapid incident response and the enforcement of strict safety standards to protect its workers and the social environment.
