FRANCE – Fire at TotalEnergies’ Donges Refinery Quickly Controlled

Authorities in Loire-Atlantique, France, reported on Thursday that a fire erupted at TotalEnergies’ Donges refinery at 2:43 p.m. local time. Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control by 4 p.m. at the site.

Officials confirmed that no injuries were reported and are currently awaiting the results of air quality assessments.

The Donges refinery, situated on France’s Atlantic coast, is the country’s second-largest and has a processing capacity of 230,000 barrels per day.
