Industrial Firefighting Collaboration models: theory meets practice
Organizing an adequate level of emergency response in an area with a complex risk profile is often a challenging task. Industries, local governments and authorities can organize this individually, but all struggle more and more with keeping equipment, vehicles, procedures and people trained and up to standard as emergency responders and firefighters. In harbors and industrial areas public and/or private organizations come together to develop models that facilitate collaboration, so the burden of preparedness for emergencies is shared. Aiming for: better quality, carried by a local collective, with balanced individual budget.
This webinar brings 3 themes together:
Set-up, governance, public/private participation and models in a collaboration-construct (by Kees Kappetijn, consultant KSS);
Dimensioning industrial fire and rescue services in collaboration models (by Dick van Roosmalen, consultant KSS);
Development and implementation of an actual PPP-collaboration in Antwerp-harbor (by Ben Windey, coordinator BZS-collaboration Antwerp).
