Subject: UK Legislation Change - Use of Mobile Phones /2 Way Radios Date of Email reporting Incident: Mon 01/09/2003 Report Detail: If you have not seen it, I attach from Department of Transport a consultative document - a view of draft on the proposed use of mobile phones legislation & effect on emergency services. Hands free phones and 2 way radios will be allowed. The holding of any phone or electronic device will not be, even to dial. Exemptions will be for genuine emergencies (999 Call where it would cause endangerment to stop before calling) without hands free. Linked Documents:
