It's been hard for me to contemplate the scale of the life loss and material damage which is being witnessed on a daily basis in the countries whose shoreline touches the Indian ocean. The news footage of the aftermath clearly shows the devastation. I received from Pine Pienaar Chief Fire Officer at Sasol SA these pictures which have for me highlighted the shear power and force of the breaking wave. Our hearts go out to all the people caught up in this natural disaster.
