1st Response –

Just a short note to draw your attention to my omission and failure to acknowledge the sterling efforts of a JOIFF member at the Buncefield incident. The Director of Resource Protection International (RPI) was on the scene within 3 hours of the event taking place and remained in place for a further 20 hours before leavening and returning for the last day. His involvement was to determine initial calculations and estimates for the foam concentrate and water requirements as well as advice on foam supplies and logistics. At the later stages he was further consulted by Hertfordshire Fire Brigade regarding application rates and burn out times for the remaining tank fires. The Brigade was extremely grateful for the information provided.
