Foam Test Vapour Suppression

Initial Email Enquiry –

I was wondering if any JOIFF members know official standard(s) (like ASTM) for testing the suitability of foam to cover pools with liquids to minimise the evaporation. I thank you and other members in advance for your help.

Can the JOIFF membership please advise our JOIFF member if there any known international or national standards available for the testing of foam for it’s capacity to suppress vapours? Suppression of vapour whether flammable liquid, acid fume of toxic vapour accounts for a high degree of foam use across the globe. There are many JOIFF associate foam manufacturers – maybe thy will be able to provide the answers our member is looking for?
