Report Detail:

Here is some pictures of an incident involving two tanks that were damaged while pulling product out of them. On the morning of Monday 17 Dec,  it was real foggy and the temperature was 11 deg , as the fog settled it froze to everything fences, trees and power lines forming into ice.  The company started pulling product out of one of the tanks early in the am.   A loud noise was heard  - on investigation a tank had been pulled in. Switching to a different tank not thinking the problem might be weather related a second tank was pulled in. While pulling product from the tanks at 14000 bph the frost collected on the vent screens and froze closing off the vents. Therefore care in very cold weather is required whilst moving product in tanks designed like these with the potential to freeze over the vents.
