Subject: Kansas City Tank Fire - Air Monitoring Slides Date of Email report: Report Detail: This presentation came in through the LASTFIRE coordinators RPI (Dr Niall Ramsden) from a Kansas City Tank Fire which had a great deal of EPA air monitoring attention. To all LASTFIRE members You may recall I gave a talk on the Kansas City Tank Fire at the Rotterdam meeting. There was particularly interesting information on the air sampling carried out by the EPA. I have just found the attached pdf file on the web which is a presentation by the Federal On-Scene Coordinator. One picture appears to show a pontoon / roof section that has been blown out of the tank – I don’t know if this is in fact true but it certainly looks like it.
