Please find attached the consultation paper, Planning (Hazardous Substances) (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2009: Consultation, published on the CLG website on 23rd March 2009.

This is an 8 weeks consultation and seeks views on the proposal to amend thePlanning (Hazardous Substances) Regulations to comply with the requirements of Council Directive 96/82/EC on the control of major accident hazards involving dangerous substances (the Seveso II Directive), as amended by Directive 2003/105/EC.
