Subject:                     Draft Reports on BA Control Procedures

Report Detail:

The Office of the Chief Fire and Rescue Adviser (CFRA) have issued the attached documents dealing with the consultation on Breathing Apparatus Command and Control Procedures.

As the consultation is sector wide it is important that all interested parties comment on the proposals. The CAA will be submitting comments and we would strongly encourage others to do so on the attached Response form (to [email protected] ) by 4 October 2010.

I am sure there will be many areas for comment, the key areas to focus on appear to us to be:
• Risk Assessed Alternatives, Intro/Overview, Section 5.2, Page 9.
• Defensive Tactical Mode, Chapter 2, Section 2, bottom of Page 23.
• Stage 1 procedures, Chapter 2, Section 3 E, Page 31.
• Special Procedures, Chapter 2 Section E, Special Procedures, Pages 36-39
