Dear JOIFF member please review the Peer Assist request below – Have you used or do you know of anyone who has used the tank contents temperature instrumentation as a pseudo fire detecxtion system?
Would it be possible to put the following question to JOIFF members? Do you have experience with using the temperature measurement device present in vertical cone roof storage tanks for monitoring the temperature in the tank as a method to detect tank fires? If so which system is used and is the system set to generate an alarm at a specific temperature relevant for a fire? Thank you for your assistance.
