Talisman Sinopec said the Montrose work was progressing

The failure of a firefighting system on a North Sea oil platform has led to the Health and Safety Executive issuing an improvement notice.  The equipment on Talisman Sinopec's Montrose platform was found to be subject to leakage, blockages and significant corrosion.
The company said it was already addressing issues with the deluge system when the HSE raised concerns.  Talisman Sinopec said work to fix the problem was progressing well.
