"This unfortunate event shows that the Venezuelan oil industry is being operated by inexperienced people," said Iván Freites, An outsourced worker was reported dead on Thursday after a leak of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) at refining complex Amuay, northwest Venezuela. The victim, aged 38, was working as a foreman for a firm called Atlas. Although there is no information about how the accident took place, the man is said to have died after inhaling the gas while evacuating area.
