Minor Blaze at KNPC’s Mina Abdullah Refinery Contained

The Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) announced that a small fire at the desulfurization unit of its Mina Abdullah Refinery was successfully brought under control by emergency response teams.

According to a statement shared on the company’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, the incident resulted in one fatality and left four others injured. Two of the injured individuals required hospitalization for further medical care, while the remaining two received treatment at the scene. The company emphasized that operations at other parts of the refinery remained unaffected.
