USA – Fire at Chevron’s Pascagoula Refinery Injures Four Workers

An investigation is underway after a fire injured four contract workers at Chevron’s Pascagoula refinery in Mississippi on Monday.

The blaze originated in the refinery’s wastewater treatment area and was quickly brought under control, according to a company spokesperson.

Chevron said three of the injured workers were taken to a local hospital for further treatment, while the fourth received care on-site.

The Pascagoula facility, one of Chevron’s major refineries, processes up to 356,440 barrels of crude oil per day.
