Blast at Spanish Arms Facility Injures Six

Emergency services responded to an explosion at an arms manufacturing site in Javali Viejo, near Murcia, Spain. Firefighters arrived promptly to contain a fire ignited by the blast. Six men, aged between 30 and 52, sustained injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital, with one individual reported to be in critical condition.

The explosion also sparked a minor forest fire, which was swiftly brought under control by firefighting teams.

According to its official website, the Rheinmetall facility specializes in producing artillery shells, mortars, and rocket propulsion components. Company officials stated that there is no indication the explosion was intentional and confirmed that an investigation is in progress.

Despite the incident, the company reported that its production infrastructure at Javali Viejo remained intact. The plant employs 427 workers.
