Fire at Repsol’s Puertollano plant under control, no production hit

MADRID, Aug 10 (Reuters) – A fire that broke out at Repsol’s Puertollano petrochemical plant on Monday morning after lightning struck a fuel storage tank has caused no injuries and will have no impact on production, a company spokesman said.

Repsol said its on-site emergency response unit had largely brought the blaze under control and no evacuation or production stoppage was necessary.
