Fire Trucks (Emergency Response Vehicles) - Are You Driving Safely?

Initial Email Enquiry –

I have included some graphic material from the Fire-fighter Close Calls web site to illustrate the results of inappropriate Emergency Fire Appliance Driving (EFAD) . Here on Teesside we are just about to embark on our EFAD refresher training which for the very first time will be structured and in line with Unit FF9 of the IPDS National Occupational Standards. The package designed by Gerry Johnston (in conjunction with Minding Driving) of Fulcrum Consultants provides a unique opportunity for our fire-fighters to have professional training under blue light conditions on the public highway ensuring the highest safety levels are being adhered to at all times whilst responding to emergency calls.
